BMW 730i SE AUTOMATIC, 1994-M
GENERAL OVERVIEW
This BMW 730 has full service history and thus has been looked after and drives perfectly, handles extremely
smoothly, has a stunning exterior and interior, is very solid all round, has 218 BHP. The MOT is short
at six weeks (taken in part p/x from a chap nearby in Leeds for Jeep Cherokee) but although I am not 100% certain, I would
imagine that it would have no major problems as it feels extremely tight with no knocking or unwanted sounds.
It feels perfect – although please do not quote me on this. The only thing I can think of
is that there is a hair line crack on the window but that is very small and not even on the driver’s side.
The tyres all have excellent tread so that should be fine. All seems to be very well – but
as it is a PX, I simply want to recoup what I need as part of the PX sale – and it is worth much more than the starting
price.
The
power of this 730i Auto model (being 2pg more economical than the 728’s!) is very well in regards to the fluids
and viscosity levels etc. It literally feels like it drives without mechanical fault. The
brakes feel like new, the auto gear box has a perfect transmission and works on all settings without fault. It
really does feel like it is new. The interior is immaculate and my only complaint is that the plastic covering
housing the drivers electronic seat buttons is a little loose – and that it!
Externally is an excellent model. The only negatives on the body are a few hairline scratches
on the boot, a tiny scuff on the rear pass wheel arch, a tiny bit of rust on the lip above the rear registration plate and
and tiny (1cm) bit of rust on the drivers rear arch and below the driver’s door, a slight crease to the drivers side
pass door - that I didn't even notice till polishing - and a bit of fading that really isn’t noticeable on
the bonnet – all very small and not obvious at all. All of these are very small and do not stand
out at all. For the tear the overall condition is excellent. In short, this
is a model that is stunning, appears to have no major problems as all and provides an excellent drive – although I have
not re-mot’d the car – but it seems to be fine – more than fine. It is a car that really wants to
be driven more and more. It is brilliant to drive. Overall, it is a stunning model with a sumptuous interior, hardly
any rust what-so-ever and it drives perfectly and the only computer warning are that new fog light bulbs are needed, washer
fluid (I will top it up) and that the rcl battery is needs charging (usually self charging whilst driving).
OVERVIEW OF THE DRIVE
This is an excellent 7 series to drive – they all are. The automatic sports setting
feels like a rocket – the oomph effect is very powerful. These are just superb cars.
An absolutely superb driving experience. The seating position gives the driver a real feeling of
class – incomparable for the price. The power that is available is high at 218 BHP.
It is an incredibly smooth drive. The auto gearbox is very smooth and is of a typical standard.
This model appears to have been well looked after with the FSH – and hopefully this will be reflected come MOT
time.
The hand brake works perfectly and he brakes feel like they are brand new.
The braking system is very strong and even feels like new. The oil viscosity
and levels are perfect; the coolant is perfect (staying constantly at just over half way). The engine idles
perfectly. I noticed that the bonnet has to be shut hard to close it but it closes perfectly.
The engine bay area/mechanics etc are faultless. It runs perfectly and is great to drive, gives
a great driving experience with a feeling of class, high maneuver-ability, confidence in safety and a feeling that
you are driving something different with immense class with speed and power output that is also very good to drive –
in sports mode it is like a rocket and sounds quite roarty - with a huge boot space for whatever essentials are needed!
Includes: · 3.0 litre V8 engine - guidebooks says 26 mpg combined ·
Auto gearboxes working
perfectly – with sports mode – like a rocket! · 0 – 60 in 6.5 seconds ·

new ·

– works perfectly
·
Lights – all
bulbs are perfect apart from the fogs (rear RHS has a crack)
INTERIOR OVERVIEW
Overall the interior is in excellent condition and would look brand new other than for a loose
ashtray (simply being held by a piece of plastic). The entire interior is in excellent condition.
The full beige leather is beautiful. The seats are extremely comfortable – by far the most
comfiest of car seats I ever been in. All of the electric work other than the drivers ‘top half of
the seat’ electronic function. Thankfully this is already in an optimum setting – and they
are very very very comfortable – and look great! It
is easy to find an individual setting – with two memory functions for different drivers. The drivers
electric seat buttons plastic cover is a little loose but there is a new plastic cluster present (and included free gratis)
if you decide to put a new one on – if it bothers you – and to me it doesn’t. T
he mirrors work
perfectly – I think the rear pass window only goes down on the pass button – but the driver’s controls work
perfectly all round. The locks work perfectly. The entire interior is one that oozes
confidence. I love it! The computer provides a wide variety of info and works perfectly. All
other functions also work perfectly.

Drivers and passenger airbags · Perfect (or just about) matching beige BMW carpets ·
Electronic seats with electronic
multi-function upper bolster function – drivers side top half side is in-op – but all other elec seat functions
are perfect - the driver’s side does everything perfectly - that the main thing! ·
Headrests – five all round · Front and rear arm rests (with storage function within each arm rest – as well as under the front rest)· Ski-chute entry to the HUGE BOOT (and the boot is also very clean) ·
Spare tire ·
Plug socket points
· Rear+front cup holders (and coin holder) and multiple storage compartments
EXTERIOR OVERVIEW
The exterior is in excellent condition. The metallic beige paintwork is stunning
and gleams when polished. There are a few marks but it is difficult to knock the overall condition as it
is very good. Nonetheless there are a few hairline scratches on the boot, a tiny scuff on the rear pass wheel arch, a tiny bit of rust on
the lip above the rear reg plate and tiny (1cm) bit of rust on the drivers rear arch and below the driver’s door and
a bit of fading that really isn’t noticeable on the bonnet and a very slight crease on the drivers side pass door that
I only noticed when polishing – all very small and not obvious at all. The only thing that stands
out is the crack on the driver’s side rear light cluster – and that’s it! All of these are very small and do not stand out at all as the exterior looks very good. One
complaint I have re the next mot – and it is likely to be an advisory – is that there is a tiny hairline crack
of about 8-10mm on the passenger side (not drivers side) – but insurance can cover this anyway.
The exhaust is also fine and so emissions should be fine. I have looked underneath and rattled them and they are running perfectly – though are the tiniest bit
loose – but this is me being particularly fussy.
Includes: · Tires – tire treads are good – three quarters through lifespan ·
Bonnet with air ventilation
grill · Alloys – 17" – a little worn but quite good condition · Spot lights – need bulbs (computer read out gives a reminder)! ·
Twin exhaust – no blowing
on either pipe – emissions should be fine
