VW GOLF 2.8 VR6 AUTO IN METALIC PURPLE
OVERVIEW
This is VW Golf VR6 is in excellent working order and is the metalic purple finish variant and has low miles at
114k as there would be little stress at this mileage on a 2.8 V6 engine - if it has been maintained properly - like this
one. There is a stack of receipts and a FSH book. This is a VR6 in excellent running order.
It is fantastic to drive. Immense power for a small car. In literally runs without
no mechanical faults, fires up instantly and has no problems what-so-ever and is supported by an all clear HPI certificate.
The engine idles perfectly at 750 RPM and the power is ferocious - and the engine runs quietly when
idling. The handbrake is good as are the brakes (like new) and all other components. All
of the essentials work perfectly, i.e., heaters, fluids are fine etc. The interior is is in very good condition
iso very comfortable sports seats with an excellent automatic (and faultless) gear box. The heating system
runs perfectly and heat things up rapidly. Body wise - there is next to no rust and just a few small bubbling areas
and a few small marks - overall the exterior is good.
Overall
this VR6 has been highly maintained and has receipts to support this and a quite a lot of old mot’s to also verify the
mileage. In short this is a perfectly working, mechanically maintained, very comfortable and very reliable automatic
model that looks set to have a long life ahead of it – and these automatic versions are very rare.
THE
DRIVE
As most people know, Golf VR6’s are excellent to drive and
this one is no different. It begs to be pushed and roars when pushed – but also trundles along nicely
at lows speeds. It is a flier on the motorway – giving very confident driving with high levels of
comfort. The automatic gearbox shifts up and down very quickly and is easy to drive and very relaxing - esp with the
power available. There are no squeals on full lock or any unwanted sounds – it drives perfectly well.
The auto box is perfect.
The revs idle at around 800 and is has no unwanted
tapet sounds or poor engine signs. The engine and exhaust rumbles and sounds very meaty. There
are also numerous receipts for work carried out. Everything feels very solid. There are also
no leaks nor unwanted residue. Everything is as it should be.
This rare automatic model
can be driven with absolute confidence - and even I was surprised by how well it drives as I know that they can be driven
and abused - but this one feels tip top!

The interior is in very good condition and it looks like it has been cared for very well. There
is a 2cm piece of stitching on the driver’s seat that is barely notice where a loose thread was likely to have been
It is very easy to drive and very comfortable and the driving position feels perfect. This is a
very special place to be Overall the interior is in excellent condition.

EXTERIOR
This
model is in good condition and has a few expected very small blemishes and minor surface scratches the paintwork but the overall
look is still very good. There is just about no rust at all on the body other than a few small bubbling areas
which are very minor. There are also a few stone chips around the body as expected - but again nothing major
at all. Overall the exterior is not 100% perfect but it is of
a good condition.
