MY BACKGROUND

Hi!  I thought it might be of value to describe a little bit about myself so that you have further reassurance and knowledge.  I think it is very important to feel safe when buying cars and I think the more information the buyer has the better.  Here's me!

I began buying and selling cars following my involvement in a London based trend forecasting consultancy several years ago which involved predicting cars for Toyota's 2012 future product range.  I have now been buying and selling cars since August 2005 - over four years ago.  Thus my motor industry knowledge is of a high standard.  I now invest in several underground car parking spaces in Leeds city centre (where I am based) for the safety of the cars that I have. I take this business seriously and with appropriate sensible caution and respect.  Since mid April 2010 I have commenced working for a leading auto industry that provides prices for new and used cars accross the UK.  Rest assured that my knowledge and integrity is where it should be!

My cars from a well-established trader who has been trading for over 17 years whom I have also know for an even longer period of time.  Over time I have also met a small number of other traders (two to be precise!) who I also feel safe and comfortable with, although the majority of cars are from my long-term professional partner.  I am supplied with suitable cars for a small percentage from my supplier or I purchase the car out-right.  This is how my system works.  I am also proud to say that not once have I bought a car from a (high risk) auction!  Not once - high risk - not good - this is not my style.

My cars are checked out beforehand (or a full mot test is made and given) and we all have good working partnerships.  In doing things this way I have the peace of mind that I am not selling something that is faulty whilst also knowing that I am not working in an underhand manner.  Having read the essential 1979 Sale of Goods Act 1979.  It is fair to say that when you have bought a used car, you must consider its age, the price you paid, the description that was applied to it and anything else which is relevant when deciding whether it is of satisfactory quality. Your expectations should be different when you are buying a low mileage, two-year-old car than when you are buying a high mileage, ten-year-old one, for example.  I personally do not sell 'new' cars as the majority of my cars are around the 10 year old mark (give or take a few years).  Thus it is essential to consider and agree upon matters prior to final sale completion that the car is:

  • fit to be used on the road;
  • in a condition which reflects its age and price; and
  • reasonably reliable

  • Furthermore as I have worked in the trade (for nearly four years now) but I operate close to a private basis as I find that this approach is much more personable as well as giving a clear picture - and not a hard sell, which is something that I hate.  The onus on how long you want to take is with you - and I make no pressures - the car market is big and all decisions are with you.  This is something that I fully respect.

    Furthermore, I have invested in an underground fully secure car park and thus the cars are 100% safe throughout my ownership as are visitors cars when parking.  This is something that I take very seriously as people, money and business should be.  Thus the definition of each car advert is 100% as it should be.

    I hope this infomation gives you more of idea of who I am!
